Textedly is the world’s best text messaging service for businesses. Our SMS platform is fast, friendly, and reliable, ensuring you can reach your text subscribers at scale on the communication channel they use most. Textedly is packed with features to make your business texting experience top-notch, such as scheduled messages, mass texting, long text messages, AI, and quick customer service.
There are a few things you need in order to use our platform. Here are the four key requirements for you to use Textedly!
1. Company Website or Business Social Media Page
You must have a company website or a business social media page. Mobile carriers require companies to have this online presence in order to register a texting number. This proves you’re a legitimate business and helps reduce fraud.
2. Direct Consent to Text Your Contacts
You must have direct opt-ins from your customers before you can text them. This consent to text is required by law, and is a core requirement we won’t budge from at Textedly because it puts your business and our platform at risk.
However, Textedly offers a few ways for you to easily collect opt-ins from customers, including text-to-join keywords and a website consent form. In other words, if you don’t have consent yet, we can help you properly collect it.
3. Privacy Policy and Terms of Service
You must share a link to your privacy policy and terms of service. These are crucial for complying with data protection laws and telecom regulations in today’s day and age. Textedly can’t provide legal advice on the components to include in your terms or privacy policies as these pertain to how your unique business manages information collected from contacts.
Please do be mindful as you create these policies that mobile carriers prohibit the sharing of data with third parties.
4. Have a Qualified Use Case
Certain industries and use cases cannot use mass texting due to mobile carrier regulations. Textedly supports a wide range of industries and use cases. However, there are a few we can’t accept on our platform. Those unqualified industries and use cases include:
Illegal Substances
Companies selling cannabis, CBD, kratom, or drug paraphernalia.
Prescription Drugs
Companies or licensed professionals who promote drugs that cannot be sold over the counter.
High-Risk Financial Services
Companies sharing information about payday loans, short-term high interest loans, third party loans, cryptocurrency, stocks and investing, or student loans.
