To register your number for A2P messaging, your business must have a secure website that uses HTTPS. Websites using HTTP (not secure) are not accepted by carriers, The Campaign Registry (TCR), or messaging providers.

Why HTTPS Is Required

Security

  • HTTP sites are not encrypted and can expose data to interception or tampering.

  • HTTPS protects visitors and prevents spoofing or fraudulent misuse.

Brand Verification

  • Carriers use your website to verify that your business is legitimate.

  • A non-secure site is considered a risk or trust red flag.

Compliance

  • Secure digital properties are required to reduce spam, phishing, and abuse.

  • HTTPS is a baseline standard for all businesses sending A2P messages.

Deliverability

  • Unsecured links can be filtered or blocked by carriers.

  • HTTPS improves campaign approval and message delivery.

How to Confirm Your Site Is Secure

✅ Website URL begins with https://
✅ Lock icon appears in the browser address bar

If your site shows http://, work with your web host or IT provider to enable SSL before submitting registration.
