Who doesn't like getting paid? At Textedly, we've focused on helping you connect with your customers. Now, we want to help you get paid! With the payments tool, you can request and receive payments via text using payment links to save you valuable time and resources.

The payments feature is completely free of charge on a Plus level subscription plan or higher and available to US businesses with a US bank account. Please note that the payments feature is not available to any of these restricted types of business.

Setting Up Payments

In your Textedly account, navigate to the Payments tab on the left side of the page and select the Get Started button.

Now it is time to verify your identity. Select Start ID Verification from the pop-up.

Select Get Started from the Stripe window and follow the prompts to enter your information. It will also ask for a photo of your government-issued ID, so please ensure you have this ready. Once you have completed this step, you will be directed back to the payments tab. Our team will let you know once this has been approved.

Once your Identification has been verified, you can enter your business registration information and link your bank account information. To help prevent chargebacks, make sure to use a business name customers will recognize when entering your business information.

To update your Credit Card Statement Descriptor, please chat with our support team using the chat icon in the bottom right corner of your screen, or email [email protected]. The statement descriptor needs to be 5-22 characters, and can't contain the characters <, >, ", ', *, or \ . We recommend including a phone number on the descriptor as a best practice to ensure the most seamless experience for your customers.
